Life in Letnica
Letnica is a district in northern Gdańsk whose character changed dramatically after Euro 2012 — this is where the 41,000-seat Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk (formerly PGE Arena) stands. New office buildings, hotels and residential developments keep rising around the stadium.
A natural base if you're coming for a Lechia Gdańsk match, a concert or a conference in the stadium area. From the district it's an easy ride to Stocznia Cesarska and the European Solidarity Centre (15 minutes), and the centre is a short tram away.
The stadium sits on the site of a former settlement, and parts of the pre-war architecture survive — Uczniowska and Letnicka streets are quiet, residential lanes. The seaside character (it borders Brzeźno) also gives easy beach access.
