Life in Siedlce
Siedlce is a residential district west of Śródmieście, on gentle hills. It mixes pre-war townhouses with post-war housing estates, with local shops and cafés along Kartuska street.
For tourists it's a convenient base — fifteen minutes by tram to Gdańsk Główny and the Old Town, but prices and pace clearly calmer than in the centre. A good place for a second or third visit to the city.
Transport: trams 6, 11 and 12 reach the centre in 10–15 minutes. From the district it takes about 25 minutes by tram to Westerplatte or the seaside districts.
