The Old Town is a grid around Neptune, Mariacka and the Motława — not one square. “Old Town” listings may also mean Długie Ogrody. Check the map: 800 m on foot from Neptune differs from “15 minutes by transit”.
For a taxi-free weekend, aim between the Golden Gate, the Crane and Mariacka / Chlebnicka — or a quieter side street next door.
Noise, floor and street side
Długi Targ and club streets run late on weekends. If noise-sensitive, ask for a courtyard, higher floor or side street.
